Northville Educational Foundation (NEF)
Since school funding was changed in 1994, state allocations to schools have not kept pace with inflation. Considering that schools across Michigan are experiencing declining admissions, districts are trying to find ways to do more with less. For the 2018-19 school year, Northville received $8,409* per student from the state. That is. . . .
. . . $310 less per pupil than Novi,
. . . $1,876 less per pupil than Southfield,
. . . and $3,755 less per pupil than Birmingham.
The Northville Educational Foundation (NEF) is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose goal is to fill those funding gaps. With the shortfall left by the state’s school funding formula, many impactful programs in the District are not be possible without your help.
